Gather Network Brings Monetisation Opportunity to Content Creators by Harnessing the Idle Processing Power – Reggie Raghav Jerath

Reggie Raghav Jerath, Founder and CEO of Gather Network

Cloud computing and blockchain technology is disrupting businesses across the globe as decentralised finance and cryptocurrency are booming. Blockchain development needs a lot of processing power which makes its adoption difficult for small and medium-sized businesses. To overcome this, Gather Network has come up with a unique business model to encash spare processing power that is fed into the system and re-distributed and calibrated. This model brings opportunities for both blockchain developers and content publishers. To shed some light on their initiative we have interviewed Reggie Raghav Jerath, founder and CEO of Gather Network. Here’s what he had to say.

Please take us through Gather Network’s journey so far and how do you define the brand in terms of technology?

Gather was founded with a single goal in mind; to repair the internet’s broken business model. Our expertise in cloud computing and blockchain technology enables us to combine new and existing technologies to generate new revenue and cost-saving opportunities for everyone. Consider an Internet in which web and application developers can generate consistent revenue streams without relying on advertisements. One that is not reliant on advertisements but is dependable and rewarding. Gather is enabling a new type of internet business model by incorporating Gather’s decentralized Cloud services for a fully democratic internet space, a secure and affordable private cloud environment by leveraging companies’ existing infrastructure or powering with blockchain.

What are your core offerings and how do you operate the business in India?

Gather Network is a layer 1 blockchain with its own token called GTH. It creates an ecosystem by implementing a new monetization model for content creators, allowing them to harness the idle processing power of their visitors with their explicit permission for distribution to enterprises and businesses via Gather Cloud. Towards an ad-free internet with better user experience and a more satisfying and equitable content monetization model for publishers: A unique marketplace model that connects publishers and businesses. To meet market demands, all types of spare processing power are fed into the system and re-distributed and calibrated.

Who are your competitors and how is Gather Network different from its competitor? Please talk about the challenges in this segment and how you plan to tackle these challenges.

There is no direct competition in the sense of what we are building as a single marketplace-based platform connecting publishers with enterprises & developers.

There are of course variations of the individual parts of the Gather network visible in other projects. For example, Golem is a marketplace for processing power but requires user download, maintenance and large user input. Brave offers monetization but requires their browser to be used while Gather is browser/application agnostic. With the modifications we have made to incorporate these individual parts into our platform to operate in a complementary manner, we don’t believe there’s any project that is able to offer what Gather does as a complete package at this time.

Please share your future plans and how you plan to pursue them.

Over more than 1000+ publishing customers have registered to use Gather Online so far. Our B2B marketing efforts bring on more partners with the initiation of our first Indian operations at Gurgaon, Haryana. This year, interoperability for multi-chain networks such as Gather Native Chain, Ethereum, and Binance Smart Chain have been launched and are available on the Gather Layer 1 front. The Series A Round is ongoing. This will allow us to grow the client operations team. We hope to have more incubation projects on the Gather chain by the end of the year, which will help to expand the Gather ecosystem. We hope to acquire more publisher registrations for Gather Online by the end of the year.
